Personal Computing Divisionкомп орг подразделение персональных вычислительных систем.▫ Структурное подразделение, существовавшее в рамках корпорации IBM, и фактически разработавшее концепцию персонального компьютера (PC). Это подразделение заметно повысило уровень развития ПК благодаря серии инноваций, простирающихся от первого в мире портативного компьютера до новейших технологий повышения безопасности, включая встроенную защиту НЖМД и систему биометрической идентификации пользователя. Кроме того, подразделение PCD создало эталон ноутбука ( семейство ThinkPad) — и набор уникальных программных инструментов ThinkVantage для повышения продуктивности работы пользователя.
